ANTH 1023 - Introduction to Cultural Anthropology Description An introduction to the peoples of the world, the nature of culture and its influence on human behavior, social life, and social organization. The course is designed to demonstrate the interrelationships of ethnology to anthropology and the social sciences, and to survey the various culture areas and culture types of the world. Issues of globalization and globalization’s impact on indigenous cultures will be emphasized.
