Possible Placement Requirements
These courses are for developing college level skills. NWACC strongly recommends that students enroll in English and math preparatory courses within the first two semesters. These hours will not fulfill any degree requirements at NWACC. Note:
These courses will not transfer to a four year institution. Students can be awarded 3 credit hours for completion of the Paralegal Certificate from the University of Arkansas School of Continuing Education and Academic Outreach. Three hours will substitute for Torts. Students must earn at least 15 hours at NWACC and receive a grade of “C” or better in all LEGL courses to graduate. The paralegal program will only accept up to 12 hours of credit for legal specialty courses which are transferred in from other accredited paralegal programs, including programs which are approved by the American Bar Association. The decision as to whether a paralegal course from another institution will be accepted is the sole discretion of the NWACC paralegal program administrator. |
