Health Information Management, A.A.S. - Degree Plan

Note:

*This course has a transfer-level prerequisite that is not included in this degree plan.

Honors and Global Studies courses will meet degree requirements where applicable.

The HIM degree can be completed online except for the Clinicals Internships which will be conducted at a professional site.

Note:

Applications for admissions to the  professional curriculum is available March 1 - July 1 every year. Students accepted begin  following fall semester.

**Before enrolling in these courses, students  are required to have Anatomy & Physiology I  completed. Anatomy and Physiology II,  Disease Pathology, and Medical Terminology  are prerequisites or corequisites.

***Before enrolling in this course, students  are required to have MATH 1003  or higher

****Before enrolling in this course, students are required to have HIM 2523  and HIM 2433

Possible Placement Requirements

These courses are for developing college level skills.

NWACC strongly recommends that students enroll in English and math preparatory courses within the first two semesters.

These hours will not fulfill any degree requirements at NWACC. These courses will not transfer to a four year institution.
